My interest in working with textiles has been long and varied. From painting on silk, to the satisfaction of mastering the art of wool spinning (on a wheel), I have found pleasure in exploring different mediums. Not only learning different techniques – embroidery, felting, marbling, collage, knitting, and quilting, but appreciating the challenges of designing within the parameters of the textile itself. I have found inspiration in my environment: my gardens, the seasonal colors, the shapes of hills and fields. I seldom repeat a design and the fun is in the making and seeing the result.
