Susan’s design goal is to create jewelry possessing simple, clean lines while invoking a deeper aesthetic complexity rooted in nature, science, and mathematics.
She is drawn to geometric shapes of all sorts, and she especially loves the possibilities that finding colorful beach stones inspire. Susan says. “Some of my pieces are akin to “doodling in silver” – when I start joining curves and straights I never know what the end will look like. My jewelry is handcrafted in my Thetford, Vermont studio where each piece receives my careful attention.”
