Jelena Milone

Jelena Milone was born and raised in Estonia in Parnu, a little town  by the Baltic sea. She studied Business and Accounting. She now lives in Lyme, NH with her husband and two sons. You can often find her working in the gallery, making her beautiful needle felted creatures.
Jelena says, “I have loved crafting since my childhood, when it all started just playing around nature, using my imagination, building fairy houses, sewing, making toys, creating clothes for dolls, until I met the art of wool and felting. I was amazed by the endless possibility and colors and textures of the felted crafts. I am self taught fiber artist, all my creations inspired by nature. I use many different techniques to create my art, needle felting, wet felting and nuno felting. Recently I decided to try making wearable art (earrings and necklaces) with recycled leather. Crafting for me is meditation.”

In her spare time between taking care her family and crafting, Jelena loves to spend time outside, gardening, walking, biking, and cross country skiing.
